Question by Darth: what’s the limit of fish I can keep fishing in northern California coast?
I can’t find in the regulations how manyand what size fish I can keep fishing in the ocean from shore.. Anyone have any info?

In the CA Ocean 2010-2011 sport fishing regulations book, look at pages 8-20 and 37-57 (keywords: daily bag limit & min size limit).

there are some sport fishing in the benin, Niger delta area. But they are done as a tradition.

I’m looking for a good inflatable kayak that I can use in both the ocean and lakes/rivers in semi-harsh conditions when needed. I’m 6’4 220 so it needs to be big and have storage for fishing and camping gear. Looking to spend around $ 500, but don’t hesitate to recommend something more expensive, I want to look at all my options. That AE boat would not be that safe for you in “semi-harsh” coastal conditions. First off, these are very wide and flatbottomed. They are slow to paddle, tend to windcock and do not track well — these are not characteristics you want when you could be caught in strong wind and waves. You could easily be swept out from shore and have a difficult time getting back in. Also, despite what the makers say, these boats do NOT have a lot of storage space. They are really more of a recreational toy for inland waters.

I own several models of kayaks including a couple of combination frame and inflatables and have used and owned a number of others. I think the best bang for the buck are the Pakboats.

There is one dealer who sells them on Ebay and the REI stores are also dealers. We have an XT-15 but there are several other models – the Puffin series is a bit cheaper but all use the same technology and materials. They are very easy to set up and very strong, with a ladder aluminum frame as well as the inflatable tubes that shape the skin. You can use them with the spray deck on like a full kayak or take it off and use them as more of a C-1 type open boat. Unlike the inflatables like Advanced Element, Sevylor, Innova and other full inflatables, the Pakboats have tons of storage space and are easy to paddle quickly and they track well, almost as well as a high-quality rigid hard boat. The seats are incredibly comfortable and adjustable. And the 16′ Saranac, though longer than the AE and with more cargo room, weighs 28 lbs, which 15 pounds less than the AE.

You will pay from $ 700 to over $ 1000 for one but the performance difference is like night and day. i was turned on to these kayaks by a guy who is a fishing guide — he has used them for years in Alaska and Patagonia and says they are bombproof. We’ve been really pleased with the performance of the one we got last Spring — it is as comfortable, fast and rugged as my $ 4,000 Feathercraft Wisper folding kayak (which. like the Pakboats, has inflatable sponsons as well as an aluminum frame). This is a kayak I would not hesitate to take in open ocean. It is very stable in wind and chop yet you can paddle straight and fast in it. Very easy to set up and take down and you can access gear stored in it just by pealing back the top deck, like the tonneau cover on a truck bed.

Going out on Tuesday and i’m sure they will tell us but just wondering if anyone knows the regulations for these fish?

i dont think there are any, especially for porgy–they are considered a “garbage” fish…i went on a charter in cape cod once and there were a couple parties packing up cooler fulls of sea bass

The town of Mullica hill seems like it is right for us. Schools and just the feel of the place seems right. Also I will be working in Thorofare and It’s a close commute. Wondering about activities for kids. Sports, scouting etc. How close to the beach you would be. We like the outdoors. How far would we be from camping, hiking, skiing and fishing? Also how’s the weather generally.? Does it ever snow or should I dump my snowblower? We are relocating from Michigan.

Let’s see. I haven’t had a girlfriend in 2 years. Since freshman year, that girl cheated on me, and I haven’t had a gf since. I’m 16. Licensed. Play football and wrestle. About 6’6”. Play lineman and wrestle varsity heavyweight. I’m not skinny skinny like a 120 lb kid. I’m not a butter ball either, I am happy with the way I look. I have tried to talk to girls and it seems like I end up not liking them, or somehow we just quit talking. I really want a girlfriend. I’m not desperate one bit. I want a girl to have fun with, like going to the movies, mall, camping, hang out watch a movie kind of thing. SEX IS NOT IMPORTANT TO ME. I unfortunatly made the mistake of already doing that and I wish I didn’t. Wasn’t worth it to be honest. I would consider myself quit at times, but full of energy at others. Mostly quiet though. I like movies, music, UFC, riding quads, camping, hunting, fishing, playing all sports(minus hockey & soccer.) Overall I’m a fun guy, I will defend my friends and my girl no matter what. Always have, always will. I believe in chivalry, meaning opening doors for girls and paying at the movies/dinner. I don’t know why I can’t find a girlfriend I like. My standards aren’t too high, all I ask for is honesty. Obviously looks are important for something to work. IDK WHAT TO DO PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.

I LOVE these things about here; we have everything in common. Last night, I told her I wanted to go to a bar. She rarely drinks and we have never been to a bar together but she was down with it. When I went to pick her up, I expected to find her in the usual jeans and t-shirt or tank top that she always wears but she was in this tiny little dress and was wearing make-up. She looked SO stunningly beautiful, literally like a model. She has super long hair that she always wears pulled back but last night she had it long and flowing. I couldn’t stop looking at her the entire night and I was so mesmerized. She is beautiful anyway but wearing a little bit of makeup with her hair like that and a sexy outfit, I felt like the luckiest man in the world and when we went out, I felt so proud to have her next to me. I don’t expect her to get all dolled up every single day or anything but I really would like it if she spent less time with her horses and guns and more on her appearance. I don’t really know how to go about asking her to wear make up more often and do her hair in a pretty way more often without sounding like an asshole. She is 5’7, 110 pounds, wears a size two, and has the most toned, sexy body I have ever seen on a woman. Really, I just want to see her be a little more feminine. Her nails are really short, her hands have calluses on them, her feet are kind of rough because she rides her horses barefoot a lot, she wears sports bras instead of sexy ones, and after seeing her look the way she did last night, I’d just like to see her look like that a little more often and maybe pay a little more attention to her appearance. My entire family consists of outgoing people who are sport fanatics and love camping, hunting and fishing. They’re very conservative and have ‘conventional’ jobs – work in offices. None of them have a creative bone in their body. I’m shy, love art and writing, very imaginative, hate sports and camping. I’m liberal and would rather die than work in an office. I have nothing in common with them.
